MEASUREMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Accurate measurements are essential for custom window coverings to ensure a proper fit and professional appearance. Please follow the measurement guidelines below based on the type of installation you have.

Curtain & Drapery Measurements

Pre-Installed Curtain Rod

Width (A)
Measure the length of the rod from end to end between the two brackets.

Height (B)
Measure from the curtain ring to the floor, or to your desired finished curtain length.

 

Pre-Installed Curtain Track

Width (A)
Measure the length of the curtain track from end to end.

Height (B)
Measure from the track wheel or carrier to the floor, or to your desired curtain height.


Ceiling-Mounted Track with Crown Molding or Track Cover

Width (A)
Measure from the left wall to the right wall.
If crown molding is present, measure between the molding edges (excluding the molding itself).

Height (B)
Measure from the ceiling to the floor.
If crown molding is installed, measure from the bottom of the crown molding to the floor or your desired curtain height.


Wall or Frame Mounted Rod

Width (A)
Measure from approximately 10 inches left of the window frame to 10 inches right of the window frame.

Height (B)
Measure from at least 6 inches above the window frame to the floor, or your desired curtain height.



Valance Measurements

Custom Valances

Width (A)
Provide the exact finished width of the valance.

Height (B)
Provide the desired finished height of the valance.





Blinds & Shades Measurements

 

Inside Mount (Inside Window Frame)

Width (A)
Measure the exact inside width of the window frame.
We will deduct approximately ½ inch to ensure the product fits properly.

Height (B)
Measure the exact inside height of the window frame.

Depth (C)
Measure the exact window depth.




Outside Mount (Outside Window Frame)

Width (A)
Measure the exact width of your window including the outside trim.
Add 2 inches on each side for better coverage and improved light control.

Height (B)
Measure the exact height of your window including the outside trim.
Add 4 inches total for better coverage and improved room darkening.


Helpful Tips

• Always measure using a steel measuring tape for better accuracy.
• Measure each window separately, even if they appear identical.
• Round measurements to the nearest 1/8 inch if possible.
